Weighlifting:
70-80% of 1 RM
Every 3:00 Minutes x 5 Sets
- Clean and Jerk
- Rest 10-15 seconds
- Clean + Front Squat + Jerk
I used the 15# barbell and initially grabbed 15# plates but the plates felt SO heavy that I opted for 10# plates for the first round then added 2.5# for the rest of the 4 rounds. The old me would have berated myself and put so much pressure on myself that I would have just did the bare minimum of a total of 35#. But I have learned to give myself grace and that it is okay if I wasn’t ‘feeling it.’
I felt so good after the weightlifting portion that I went over the minimum Level 1 weight recommendation at a total of 50# for the MetCon at 108 total reps. The Nutrition program really provided me a lot of strategies and insight to help me be the most successful version of myself. It is my ‘Ah-Ha’ moment.
