It’s easy nowadays to have one’s stress, angst, emotion stirred and rattled on an endless loop.
Instead of adding to it by venting I am electing to share a list of things that I am thankful for, perhaps it will inspire others to take a step back & away, to just breathe.
I am thankful for so many things having just had another milestone birthday; I think it can be beneficial to reflect on the ‘good stuff’ – so here goes.
- I am thankful to be supported both at home and at the gym in my quest to be healthy. (Cpt O, Coach Beth & Coach Frankie)
- I am thankful for being able to lift weights I never thought possible for my 4’10” frame and at my age.
- I am thankful that both Thing 1 & Thing 2 find comfort being home and living their best lives.
- I am thankful that I am finally in a position & on a team where I am valued and treated as an equal member of the team.
- I am thankful for my humble dream home that provides warmth when it’s cold, relief from the heat when it is hot, and shelters me & my family from the elements.
- I am thankful for Puppy Horse, Puppy Baby, and yes, even Old Gal.
- I am thankful that I get to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, without financial apprehension.
- I am thankful to have a small circle of trust – each very different from the other and yet the same. (Ballet Heather; M; Work Heather)
- I am thankful for being introduced to HSA … even if it was from my time at Poo Poo Land.
- Most of all, I am thankful that I had the privilege of serving my country for 11 years in the United States Army bringing honor to my oath to the Constitution of the United States of America.
